  • indicator lights not working hazards fine

Hi all, new to this group and hoping to get some advice. My Prado 2005 GXL turning indicators suddenly stopped working and the sound/music system also won't turn on. Hazards are working fine both front and back. Have checked the fuses specifically for the indicators (both under bonnet and driver side) but they look fine. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

youll need to test the fuse not just look, use a test light to probe both sides of the fuse. you should get power both sides if it isnt blown.

what did you do on the car between it working and not? install replace anything.
(my tail light fuse kept blowing after i installed a 2nd battery and disturbed a dodgy connection by who ever did the bull bar.)

Thanks Zoc. I'm actually on my way now to buy a fuse tester to do just that. Will test all the fuses just in case. I didnt change anything to the prado between the indicator lights working and not working. Just suddenly wouldnt work one morning

other thing, it could be the hazard switch, make sure that it is "off"
if it is stuck in the indicators may not work.

but this would not effect the stereo, thats why im saying fuse.

Thanks Zoc. I tested all the fuses and found 2 that had been blown. Funnily enough they werent fuses directly relating to turning indicators but i replaced them and the blinkers worked again as well as the stereo. So satisfying!
