Hello,
So as the title says the audio in my 2011 VX Prado can take up to 15 mins before it will start working.
The stereo turns on and all functions work no problem, if someone calls and I answer they can hear me no problem but i cant hear them.
I replaced the old stock head unit with a EC Offroad Android head unit that they make for the 2011 Prado.
Had it done by a car audio place and they are saying that it has to be my Amp that is the problem, I never seemed to have any issues with the old stock head unit that comes with the car so it doesn't make sense that it would be but I'm not ruling it out.
Have attached a picture of my Amplifier, I have taken it out and inspected it for water damage as i have heard that can be an issues but I don't see anything that would show that.
I have checked the cables from the stereo to the amp to see if any are damaged but dint see any.
I have checked the fuses in the fuse box under the hood but all are ok.
I'm looking for help, can any one think of anything else that i can check or test too see what would be the cause as I'm out of ideas.
The car audio has suggested to bypass the amp but of course that will cost more $$ which I'm hoping to avoid if i can.
Have tried to find a replacement amp online but these things seem to be impossible to find second hand or refurbished so I'm not having much luck there.
Any help would be very much appreciated
