2013 Kakadu Bluetooth problem

Hi all,

my Bluetooth in my 2013 Kakadu has recently started playing up. While on a phone call it sounds as if the reception is bad but isn’t. Kind of drops in and out and is really annoying. Have tried repairing the phone and all that just wondering if anyone has experience similar and fixed it?

Bluetooth requires compatible software versions on both ends of the link. Your 2013 "media box" is likely to have a 2013 (or earlier) version of the bluetooth protocol. A recent update of you phone's software may have installed a more modern version of bluetooth which is not 100% compatible with the Prado's media unit. This is just speculation on my part, of course.

We had a similar issue with my wife's phone and her "new" 2-year old 2018 Hyundai i30. In that case the car was more modern than the phone and it took nearly a year before the phone manufacturer brought the phone up to date.
