Reviving an old thread. Both low/high beams not working. Both separate high beams fine as are other lights in the system such as dash, parking and tail lights fine. 2 bulbs gone at once on high/low? Crazy system on 2016 GX where headlights are always on when ignition is on so these have been on for 90000km over 8 years. The fuses look fine. Any further ideas to those above in this thread? Auto sparky is looking at it tomorrow.

I can't comment of both bulbs failing at once. If you have access to a Techstream, you can set low-beam being on or off while the engine is running. My MY2016 GX had low beams on for 160,000km of driving, including some pretty rough roads. I think I blew one low beam filament in that time. (I've now traded up to a 2023 GXL) -
Yep. Both bulbs had blown. So 8 1/2 years and 90000 km, a lot of it on outback roads . It really was a dumb system to keep headlights on whenever engine is on. At least they have now changed to a proper daytime running light system. So about 1800 hours of always on in tough conditions. No complaints but be aware if your 150 is getting up there in age a km. Easy fix.Comment
