  • 12V plug in rear?

    Hi Guys,

I recently ran a cable down the side of the car from the dual battery to a new rear outlet (Engel plug) above the standard 3-pin inverter plug point.
After getting the plug all smoothly seated in the pull out panel, went to put it back in and to my horror, no room in behind the panel, as there is an aircon/something else unit in there.
Has anyone had a similar problem or got a good solution?

    Cheers

Here is a quick fix for your problem it is surface mount and will cover up all the existing holes you may have drilled in the panel.

Oohh - I also thought that this would be the perfect solution but after taking the panel out and having a look it was quite clear that there wouldnt be enough clearance - didnt you look first :?
Solution - Put it on the other side like i did - Or same side I guess near the floor just near where the rear seatbelt bolt is - Have a look at my build thread for pics - Im sure toyota could send you a replacement panel to fix up the one you cut a hole in...
