The extnix unit I have had a very strange loom on it that when I rang Asad, he said I would need to cut and join the loom. I googled and printed off the standard Toyota wiring diagram that showed where the power wire is in the radio loom and then just added a jumper wire to the ignition wire so when the ignition is on, the aerial is powered. Seems to work a lot better.

H & I wires. I assume in a normal car with a motorized aerial, these would drive that.
I have a gx so the other thing I did was just move my hazard light switch to next to the steering wheel where the traction control switch is.

I wired one of the USB connections from the ETNIX unit to the factory USB on the weekend.
Forgot to take pics but I cut the factory cable stripped the shield and the 4 wires Red, Black, Purple & Brown. Then grabbed an old USB cable and did the same, this used ISO colours Red, Black, White and Green.
I tested all connections with a multimeter and soldered the shields together, works a treat. Just sourced a flush mount USB Socket for the glovebox for the other USB connections.
Now to find a neat idea for the ipod cable. I hate loose cables floating around!

Still trying to source one cheaper than what I have been quoted, mine it in upright but the wrong angle. I may just go and order one through Toyota.Black 2009 150 Series D4D GXL Prado, TG150 Transfer Case & Actuator Guard, TJM T13 bar, TJM 9.5lb Winch, Airtec Snorkel, TJM steel sidesteps and sidebars, TJM Underbody Protection, TJM XGS Gold Suspension, Tinted, ARB Fridge Freezer, Couplertec System, Foxwing Awning, 80AH Dual battery, 8" indash GPS, Wet Seat seatcovers, GME TX3540, TX3110 & TX680, Maxtrax, Kaymar Dual Wheel Carrier, Breathers, Federal MT's.

Ok I pulled the car apart on the weekend to do some more stereo work, checked the USB cables, wiring went as follows:
This is the thick grey cable coming off the back of the Factory USB Socket.
Factory Red (+5DC) to Aftermarket Red
Factory Black (Ground) to Aftermarket Black
Factory Brown (Data +) to Aftermarket Green
Factory Purple to (Data -)Aftermarket White
Factory Shield to Aftermarket Shield.
Please note I take no responsibility for any of the advice given. I tested all connections with a multimeter first, I would suggest doing so before you wire as some aftermarket USB cables use different colour codes.
