There's constant 12v available under the drivers seat (GXL) it's the power for the lumbar support motor. White plug with two wires +/- you can just see it in the photo, (I've put two blue connector thingymajigs on the wires.

My trailer light having been giving me grief and looking into it I have found some really ordinary wiring supplying the plug, it feeds offthe back of the left hand tail light with one wiire picking up the right hand indicator.
I figure Toyota would have a better point in the loom to connect the trailer plug.
I just want to tidy the whole thing up.

Hi, just starting to fit all the bits back in the 'new' 150. Dual battery is done, now looking at the brake controller.
Car has a genuine tow bar and wiring loom. Blue brake wire has a corresponding black/red wire at the plug in the Jack hides hole.
Anyone know where this goes? MY 2010
Cheer, Greg

If they have wired directly to the tail light it doesn't sound like it has been done "properly".Last edited by peter_mcc; 16-03-2016, 03:18 PM.

There is a plug that the factory loom fits into.
http://www.toyota-tech.eu/Aim/Aim.aspx
Go to the site, select LC150 and build year 2013 on and then Installation Manuals and Towing Hitch Wiring Kit. Shows you everything you need to know.

Anyone know which is the correct wire for tapping 12v IGN on power for a rear DVD system, I am thinking the 12v socket under the rear a/c controls - need about 3A draw, going to use a wire tap but not sure what colour wire is the 12v +

It is possible to buy terminals with short leads on them from Mr Toyota (for a largish sum unfortunately, but less than $10 I think). This then enables you to insert the "repair wire" into the trailer socket and get easy connection to the unused wires that have 12V at R23.
The part numbers are -
Repair wire 4.8mm 160mm 82998-12370
Repair wire 2.3II 160mm 82998-12330
These will fit into the trailer side plug that fits into the trailer wiring socket R23.
They will allow easy connection to the two grey wires in the towing harness Socket R23.
The grey wire with the smaller 2.3mm connector is only at 12V when the ign is on, but not at the accessory position. It is protected by a 7.5A fuse and this circuit is used by quite a few other important circuits. Probably best not to try to draw much power from this circuit. I will use it to switch a relay connected to the larger diameter grey wire.
The grey wire with the larger 4.8mm connector is permanently at 12V and is protected by its own 30A fuse "Towing Brake".

What is the difference between the two parts and do they suit both the 120 & 150?
Would still prefer an unterminated connector for the harness I want to build.
There are plenty of connectors that I am after. I want a male and female connector of the one under the dash where the acc power is. I can then make a small Y harness that would allow me to tap off the power without damaging the original harness.

ING wire under Dash
Read post #78 and the tap off is in the engine bay. There are haps of sources in this location.
I ran out of time and took to an auto sparky. After spending some time reading the wiring diagram he connected it to the accessories. After pointing out I wanted the ignition source he fixed it in a jiffy. Total cost $20.
