  • Cheapest place to get Lightforce

I've enquired my local 4x4 workshop about a set of Lightforce Genesis and these were the prices I was given:
Halogen version - $480 (seen them on eBay for $390)
    HID version - $1300

Security bolts and nuts - $56
    Labour - $180

    My questions:
    1) Are the prices reasonable?
    2) Is there a place I can obtain them at a lower price, either online or a store in Victoria?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

      Hi Derek,
I've purchased stuff from you before, had a look at the sidewinder website too. Prices seem to be cheaper on eBay. I'm interested in the lightforce striker but I'm also interested in the abr hids which seems to be good value for money.

However, after googling around, I'm not too sure I want spotties anymore since locknuts nor bolts seem to keep them from being stolen. I might go with a high beam hid upgrade instead.

You should not let that stop you buying any accessory or camping equipment, soon you won't want to leave home ;-)

How about if you have them stolen, I will supply you new lights at cost.

Derek, after my previous car got broken into and my laptop bag stolen (luckily no laptop in it) from under the back seat - I think twice about putting anything inside or outside the car that will attract wouldbe thieves. Note it was at night, I had a dark tint and I was only gone for a mere 30minutes to grab a bite.

I appreciate your generous offer in replacing the lights at cost in the event they are stolen. In weighing up my options I was wondering if you could PM me the price of the new lights (ABR HIDs) at cost and a price if I were to buy a set from you. Do you offer PP members or returning customers a discount?

Also, I've tried to view the installation instructions on the sidewinder website but it doesn't seem to work for me. Just wondering if it's plug and play or do I need to splice some wires? Would like to do the installation myself rather than fork out another $250 for a sparky to do it.

          Cheers
