My engine chipping experience so far

I have recently had my CHIP IT installed and custom tuned. The figures are amazing! Power increase 32.7%, Torque increase 34.1%. Drives so much better and very minimal lag from stationary.
I also found that my fuel economy according to my Scan Gauge had improved from around 10.7l/100km to 7.5l however I will wait until my next fill before getting too excited on that.

BTW, RE EGR Blocking: the mechanic stripped down an inlet manifold off a Prado 150 the other day. It had already started to show the soot build up ... the vehicle had under 1000 kms on the clock ... still on the first tank !!!.

Rob I had a look at installing the EGR plate but it looks pretty difficult to get in to fit.

The egr plate is not too bad to put in.Remove the intake elbow and your away,just have a good light.

Fueled the wagon up today and took 100lt's .
Traveled 825 km's and my sums work that out to be 12.1 lt/100km's
Pretty good I would say considering average speed was 90 kph.

Got to the big smoke yesterday and the wagon returned 12.9 lt/100km towing my car trailer empty lots of stop/starting for roadworks/two girls in the car.....
