Have just had my 2008 d4d crack the 2nd piston identical to one pictured on yet his thred ,injectors have been tested and are supposedly worn but within spec.could bad fuel cause a blockage or leaking / dribbling of fuel onto the top of the piston causing failure

Thanks for the info ,mines out of warrantee ,was yours covered by Toyota and is it worth following up with an out of warrantee claim. Did Toyota admit it was a failure of there equipment? I have fitted new out of the box Toyota long motor, does this need the reflash.
