Is this something the 1KZ folk, or anyone with a turbo diesel, should also be considering?
I think this would be a must for any turbo vehicle if you are planning to keep it for a long time. So far the Provent looks like the best, and we are looking out for someone to get one installed and post some photos.

I did have - 2010 GXL D4D Auto, ARB bullbar, rails, sliders, winch, 40mm lift, Brown Davis bash plates and long range tank
Tar tek, Does the Calibra catch can perform well? I was looking at one of them earlier and found that there was no filter or separator inside them they are hollow.
Matty, is the DRiFT catch can hollow or is there a filter/separator internal to improve the efficiency of the unit?
I remember when looking at these for my 3.0 patrol that filling the inside of the can loosely with stainless steel wool provided enough resistance to flow to let the oil separate without heading straight out the outlet pipe.
Kev,
2010 Silver 5dr GXL, Auto, diesel, ARB Deluxe bar, ARB bash plates, lightforce 170's, safari snorkel, towbar, dual batteries, air bags, trans cooler, Kings/Koni's, ARB rack, Cooper S/T Maxx's, Rock Tamers, Beaudesert 2.75" exhaust and more to come.
Question. Can these provent units be mounted on their side? Of course this would be with the ability to tilt it vertically to drain any oil from the unit. It would make it a heap easier to find a place to fit it.

check out their website, it might tell u something
I mounted mine behind the air box and made a bracket for my pirahna dbe-180 which was previously mounted there. I don't have pics because I've since removed it as I won't be keeping the car long term. I would recommend rubber mounting it as it does vibrate being attached to the engine.
It catches a lot of oil!
I found a spot on the left hand side of the engine up against the firewall. It fits quite neatly and I'm happy with the install. Just gotta get some brass reducers and elbows and then it should all be plumbed up tomorrow once the local Enzed opens. It's going to be a tight fit once the Racor filter goes in, but I think there is just enough room.

Yeah it's the provent unit there Ages. I've been looking at ways to connect everything up so that it looks like it was meant to be there. Just came back from the local Enzed dealer and in a few weeks I'll be heading around there in the arvo with a few cartons while he bends and tabs up some stainless steel tube that should do the job. I plan to route it over the top of the motor at the rear of the engine bay, just below the plastic shrouding, then down to the other side. It should all look pretty schmik when it's all done and fitted. Just gotta get the holiday out of the way first.
