Exhaust Gas Temperature figures ?

Hi all,
has anyone fitted an EGT gauge to the 150 yet? If so what is the hottest (without mods...like chip etc) reading in standard form?
And...if you have a chip fitted how much of a change is there with the chip fitted.
Im thinking of buying one.

The highest temp I have ever reached was 601. That was with no chip (it was away getting the updated loom at the time) standard exhaust and no snorkel. So stock standard. It hit this temp at about 175 km/h just before the speed limiter kicked in. I was actually trying to figure out the exact thing your wanting to know.

There's a speed limiter!? I've never actually even looked to see th fastest speed on the dial.
