I believe I have the same alternator issue with my 3L Prado but can’t be 100% sure, removed drive belt, noise went away, have done idler and tensioner pulleys. How can I pinpoint it to been the clutch pulley? What process did you go through to find yours?

Another way of diagnosing noisey pulleys, is to place a large screwdriver onto bolt head of pulley whilst Engine is running, and you will be able to feel the noisey one through the screw driver, if you have a long enough screw driver you can also hear noise/vibration of worn pulley bearing Through it, if is long enough to put to your ear. Do this to all pulleys that Belt goes over and you’ll be able to work out the noisy Vs the quiet one, hence the good Vs the worn one.
