So you ended up removing the EGR plate because with the plate on the engine automatically opened the valve more to allow more exhaust air to be circulated back?
When i first read your post, i thought the same. If you install the plate and the ECU recognizes that the air flow is restricted and it automatically opens up the valve more then it kind of defeats the purpose of the plate in the first place.
