Finally got my hands on a iDrive and yep, they definitely work!
For all those people that say to just put your foot down more for the same result, I can let you know that this doesn't yield the same result. I would drive with a heavier foot in my manual always and have felt that there was always some throttle lag. Yes, turbo lag too but that's completely different.
I would imagine they would be a must-have item for those of you with an automatic. Would make it a totally different car for sure. I'm going to talk the old boy into one for his 200 too, would love to drive that thing with one of these!
Now, have been playing with settings and still working out best combo of more throttle but not too much increase in fuel consumption.
My question for anyone here is, do I need to unplug it before the service at Toyota next month? The guys are pretty good and can't see it being a problem, just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with these and Toyota yet?
Now for a sports muffler upgrade and I think I'll be set...
