Oil Pump Pickup (sludge)
Hi,
Has anyone heard of problems with sludge build up on the oil pickup in the sump.
My mechanic said his mate from Toyota suggested using a see snake to check the pickup in the sump as they have had some reported blockages.
My Prado is just about out of warranty and allthough I only do the 10,000 services it dosn't do short distance runs and always up to temp I am wondering if this is really an issue.
This is my third diesel and I have never had sludge problems using top grade oils.
