    Cheers

That was probably due to the dodgy guys working on the car, and that gremlin that flattened my battery...

p.s still have Trev's jumpers, one day i'll get hold of him to return them!

Wondering if Baileys are still on here? Looking for some feedback on my Prado.

Just did a cold start only and got he following readings: after 13 seconds:

        Injection Volume: 11.6 mm3

        Inj feedback Val #1 -.8
        #2 .9
        #3 0
        #4 -.5

From what ive read so far the Inj. volume is a bit high however the reading was taken ice cold.
The Injectors look OK for a car with 51,000ks.

Bailey's informed me that total injection volume when cold is of no concern, only when hot. And I assume feedback values are noted hot and cold.

Hi Matt, Do you have any symptoms to think that after only 50k kays your injectors are not ok?
Reason I ask is that your kays are low to be having an issue and by the look of your results your injectors are well within spec.

p.s yes Matt from Baileys is still on here and adds tremdous value to us PP'ers with Diesel questions!
            Cheers

              Hi 120D4D,

Just bought second hand so very interested to see what I have actually bought! Seems pretty good yes?
No other symptoms but a very slight taping noise in the engine whilst driving. Sounds like an exhaust leak on one cylinder or a noisy lifter type of sound. Just wanting to be sure

Hi people ,I have just had my 80K service done but I was overdue by 3.5K not that was too much of a concern .I have a copy of my feedback values
Injector 1 came in @ -0.2mm ; injector 2 in @ 0.1mm ; injector 3 in @ -0.2mm ; injector 4 @ -0.2 mm . I'm not quite sure what they mean but guessing is that at this stage I may not have a problem. Also I had the rattle which I thought was my air box then my engine mounts now it seems it was where the air intake comes through the hole in the inner guard . Had to replace my brake pads as well so all up the service was just over a grand (1K) hope this can help someone Cheers Foxy

The injection volume will slowly decrease as the engine temp rises. That's why it is recommended to view the readings from cold start right through until the engine reaches normal operating temp. This may take 10 - 15 minutes or more. The total volume will settle to something well under 12 cubic mm so if you've got that and the injector values are not greater than + 2.5 or less than - 2.5 then she's all good. Don't blip the throttle and have all your accessories off.

I've done a series of tests today, and put the data in a spreadsheet (see below).
Does that look like urgent replacement required or like enough time till 80k service in February?
Car has 65k on the clock.

                      Hey dude,

                      Nice spread sheet.

IMO, they should be ok till feb.

                      But,
If it was me, I would replace them sooner rather than later.
That's because they can go bad fast.

Sorry, I know not much help, I will say replace all 4, don't mess around with 1 or 2.

                      Cheers,

You can submit them to Baileys via this link: http://www.baileysdiesel.com/on-high...agnose-my-rig/

From memory the cold ones need to be done first thing after an overnight stop (all accessories to be off). The hot ones need to be done after a the engine is at normal operating temp. They'll get back to you with the results. Took them 3 days to go back to me

My total inj volume was 18+. They recommended a change.

Note that they don't require you to purchase their injectors if you use this form. Obviously they'd like you too, but you can source your own injectors from other sources if you want to

Thanks for your help. With Christmas being so close I won't get in Bailey's before 2nd / 3rd week of January. Which is when i plan to be in the bush.
Baileys recommended getting the ECU to be relearned that should improve the values.

                            The 150 series do a automatic re-learn every 5000klms.
The pilot learn does help quiet them a lot. Huge advantage of that series.

Plug in scan tool and complete relearn function, really simple. Are you trying to fault find/fix or what is the reason for the injection quantity relearn?
