hi all, i noticed a little while ago that when i was sitting on 100km/h and then accelerating i noticed that the engine seemed to stop for a split second.. i took it to toyota and they said that the software needed to be upgraded (so they did it ) i noticed it has done it a couple of times since !!! does anyone know what causes this ??? cheers mole man

Mate I'd only be guessing but could you have a batch of bad fuel?

Mine has done this since new.... will be watching this with interest to see if the software update has fixed the issue.

I asked the dealer 2 years ago and they couldn't replicate the issue so there wasn't a problem in their eyes....No doubt that now my warranty is up they will surely find a terminal fault....

Is it a manual by any chance??

As per previous post, has been extensively discussed in that thread. ECU flash cures the problem, this thread should probably be closed to save a double up.
