Technically specs need to be checked warm.
But technically these 1kd engines shoud not be blowing up by the hundreds in 35,000 to 150,000klms. They are!!!

I can confirm, it's a really good idea to check the injectors out properly & that includes watching the specs from cold to warm, by an expert!

Note: I say from cold. It's really a 20-30 minute test. Depending what is found.

Exactly right, start it up cold and watch the readings, they change as the engine warms up, as does the noise the engine is making. On some vehicles they are worse when cold, some are worse when hot, you really don't know until you check. You don't have to stare at the readings the whole time, I do other visual checks while the engine is idling, check brakes through wheels, grease tail shaft, whatever.

        150 Prado - 40000km Service.. Facts

Went in to Toyota today after they called on Friday and left a message telling me they purchased a new boroscope. It was very hard to see.. The side camera picked up the bore perfectly and it was fine. The piston thou was really hard to see.. Probably reflection or carbon. Couldn't really tell if there was any issue.

Got car back today - engine is quieter with the new injector but i should be able to really tell on the next cold morning.
