Looks about average.
I have seen them at 100k pretty clean & pretty dirty.
I have also seen them with half the Klm's & 5 time worse than some at 100k.
So they do vary widely.
The flow reduction mod will help reduce it. Amazing how well it works. Many advantages of this mod.

Im probably not going to fit the blanking plate. I will just clean it from time to time. Its not that difficult to pull it apart.

Can I ask why you decide not to?
Yeah only a few hrs work & filthy black mess.

That egr soot is abrasive, it's wearing your engine, valves & rings too.
It get to places that are difficult to clean, inlet manifold butterflies, behind valves etc.

can someone just simply outline the items to do this?

my understanding is:
* blanking plate with 7mm hole (ebay)
* do you need a gasket for the plate (both sides?) ?
* provent catch can - where to buy from?
