    Has anyone used this. Better concept then just an additive in the tank. I might try it in my ute first, and if that goes well try it in the good car.

      I own a 150 petrol, cannot comment on the Diesel Purge, but the Liquid Moly products are recommended by different people to me.

      There is a new one called Diesel Particulate Filter Anti-Clog, recommended to unclog the DPF filters of those city slicker diesel drivers.

      I use the Fuel System Cleaner/Conditioner and the Engine Detox once a year, and the Engine Protect every 50,000kms. My Prado gets up and goes when it needs to.

      There are other brands for similar products, but I have no complaints at this time about Liquid Moly products.

        I have been using Liquid Moly products for the last 4 years in my diesel Prado. I run an engine flush when dropping it off for service and immediately after add friction reducer when I pick it up. I run their different diesel additives regularly and mine is ticking along nicely with 120K on the clock so far, including plenty of heavy towing.

          The diesel purge works well in high mileage old-school diesels with injectors that have been in service a long time. You shouldn't need it in a modern vehicle that's only a few years old. To do the diesel-purge correctly you have to put the fuel supply and return lines both into the can or bottle/container that has the diesel purge fluid in it. You then run the engine at varying speeds until the can is nearly empty. It is not an additive you add to the fuel tank. Not sure if that's possible or not with a common rail engine? I'd use it on a 1KZ, but not a 1KD engine. I had success with my 40 year old injectors in my Mercedes, but your results will vary.

            Just did my diesel purge on my 1KZ-TE. Poured the diesel purge into a glass jar just so i can see the fluid level and make sure i dont use it all up and end up sucking air. Placed both fuel lines into the jar and gave the engine a rev from 1000rpm to 2000rmp a few times. It drank the diesel purge FAST. 20 seconds and the jar was sitting around 1/8. Reconnected all the lines back together and started the car again to let it idol for 5 minutes checking for leaks and what nots. Went for a quick 10 minute drive didnt notice anything different. Next morning however was when i felt it, Melbourne cold mornings around 5 degrees outside. Turned the key and boy was it smooth. I cant say i notice much while driving but it has helped with the cold morning starts.

            Last night i drove till i had 1/8 diesel left in my tanks so i can fill up on Shell Diesel Extra and well as using Liqui Moly Diesel Injector Cleaner with anti-Knock. I filled up only 70liters and poured 250mls of Diesel injector cleaner. The bottle is only 250ml which is recommended for 70 litres of diesel. This morning again a cold Melbourne morning starting the Prado was smoother with much less vibration and the ol'diesel clutter. Dont take my word for it, I only notice the affects of 'Diesel purge' and 'Injector cleaner with anti knock' during cold morning starts. Cant feel shit when driving.

            Recap...Bought my 12 year old 1KE-TE a month ago in July. Major service done, timing belt done , EGR blanking plate done. just trying to bullet proof the engine. Sorry about my English its not my first language but hey... just telling you my story
