ptommo59 - my guess is that the computer isn't smart enough to cope with long periods of engine braking at high RPM. Both times it has happened after using the engine braking down a long hill. On Sunday I was stuck behind a truck - normally on that hill there would be a point about half way down where I would accelerate for a bit (giving it some boost). From memory the first time was a very long hill on a muddy dirt road towing a camper - from memory it was a similar situation of a long period of engine braking with no acceleration spots.
I had forgotten about the first time it happened - I was a bit worried I'd blown the turbo (again)!
