Micko if the tailpipe is black your DPF has a problem. There should be (virtually) no soot whatsoever.
If do the finger test on my tailpipe you would struggle to see any soot on my finger and the outside of the tailpipe is dirtier with road grime...

Push for a new DPF - tell 'em it blows some white smoke if you have to!

Ok thanks, I haven't noticed any white smoke but inside the tailpipe is black so I'm sure theres something wrong. How long did they say the repair would take, I've got a trip planned in 10 days time. Also can I ask which dealer in Brisbane.

It had been blowing white smoke while doing a burn, i simply told dealer that and they offered. But i did have back up plan that Doug (from pp) had his done under warranty for same fault i would have been questioning why for same fault not the same fix

For anyone who didnt get new dpf I would be pushing hard for a new one as it has not been perform correctly and potentially going to block early later down the track maybe out of warranty.

I did a freeway run yesterday 100km/h mostly and some 80km/h areas. Fairly free flowing with roof racks. Just noticed as well my usage screen is different to everyone. I did have a firmware update done at my service recently. Might be worth asking if there is an update.

    Thanks

    ^ stock tyres ?
Our setup is much the same but also have a 2" lift.
Over the last 4 tanks ( no Fwy driving just local ) we are seeing about 11.6lts per 100
Yet to have the update done. Only ever use Bp ultimate diesel

Hi guys, my VX 2015 has the ECM done on early July, the range is now showing 1440km after full tank fill (used to be around 1050km), local driving is 13.5L/100K, I've got ARB bull bar, roof rack and secondary battery. I'm noticing the DPF is now running more often and longer than previously. Is the 13.5L/100K normal?

I wouldn't think 30min of driving is enough to gauge economy
