  • Cant believe you guys are getting such a low consumption. I can barely get in the high 11's and my average is around 12.6 - 13.0 L/100km. (Mixed driving which includes heavy traffic most of the time and some highway driving or no traffic at all)

I'm generally the same a you and I'm fairly light footed. Unfortunately thats the reality of city streets. If you live in an 80 zone, fill up in an 80 zone, work in an 80 zone and have all 80 zones in between, you'd get some of the amazing figures. Also, waiting til you are up to speed before hitting the reset switch makes it look better than it really is. The only way to get a true figure is calculating with km travelled and litres used.

      • My consumption has taken a rather large hit with the AC use and LT tyres now.... I think I am sitting around low 11's now.

Yeah, i barely get in the mid to high 11's being ultra light footed and coasting as much as i can and that's with "low" or no traffic at all, if we take into account everything else (Heavy traffic, stop n go) then its always in the high 12's.

However i do have to say that the topography here isn't flat (I'd guess it is in Australia), it's more like driving on hills and it's hard to modulate the throttle to get the most out of it.

          • I'm wondering if I'm developing a problem. Live in the city and economy was generally 11-12l/100. It's now sitting on 14! No changes in the vehicle recently and wouldn't call myself a leadfoot.

                • I consistently get 10.8 city. My city cycle is 20 mins each way with half that at 110kph. My touring figures are better but there's only 2 of us and we live in a swag under an awning or a Blackwolf 240. We do have bikes on the tailgate and Hobie outbacks on the roof. Fully packed I can still see out the rear window, so we travel light. The only fruit on the truck is a towbar and 697LT's

Yep i'm driving like a oldie running it in.

Haven't used a tank so cant see if the trip computer is accurate.

Sorry the V8 is far better drive

                              • Seems that every few pages this thread goes through the same cycle of dash versus real values. And yes the 150 will do 8l/100km....rolling down a hill.
