Just did a trip from Brisbane to Canberra and back and although the car computer said my average down was 8.9 l/100km it actually turned out to be 9.1 when I filled the tank and made the calculation over the distance travelled. On the way back to Brisbane the computer said 8.5 l/100km but it worked out to be 9.2.
The difference here could always be whether I can fill the car right up or not as sometimes I'm sure it gets a bit of air in the tanks.
The car was only lightly loaded with perhaps 200 kgs and 2 people.
Still quite happy with that result.[color=#fa0c23][b]

Just did a Syd- Mel down the Hume and back via the coast. 9.6 l/100 over 2200 km but big variations. On the Hume at the 110 kph limit it was sitting on 9.9 -10 but once into Vic into 100 kph areas it was lower at about 9.7. However when I refilled at Bainsdale and did the accurate fill to fill calculation it had done 9.2 over 1400 km. Not bad [ coming from a 120 V6]. Bainsdale to Syd is much hillier and curvier and I wasn't wasting time in a few parts but ended up with 9.8. Interestingly I am consistently seeing that the display on the dash reads higher than a carefully calculated fill to fill figure. Car has Cooper AT3 tyres 265/65, steel bull bar, snorkel, but I took the roof bars off. 2016 GX auto with 9000km. Around Outer Sydney with only rare trips into the city about 11 l/100km seems normal [ where the 120 V6 did about 16-17 under the same conditions.]

Ive never managed lower than 12L/100km going by the gauge and struggle to get 1000km from a tank, vehicles only done 50,000km. Living in the Territory doing a lot of highway driving at 130km/h might have something to do with it or should I be expecting something to wrong? I don't have too heavy a foot.
