Where is the oil filter of 1gd-FTV

RHS down low at back of motor. Easy to see and get at from underneath.

Not a stupid question at all.
I asked the dealership the same question when I picked up my 2018 VX and he didn’t know either.
A quick look from underneath the vehicle when I got home, was all it took.

What hope is there when this is the same bloke running the dealership and heading the vehicle over... doesn’t know his own product!

Right. just change from underneath.

you can change it from underneath , no problem. though due to the protective heat shroud i dont think you can use a strap wrench on it , you should invest in one of those large "socket" type tools which grips it from the end only

Is it mounted open end up or down? Don't seem to be able to find it on pictures or diagrams of 1gd engine.
Still waiting on delivery date so only planning for future at present.

I had a suspicion that may have been it but it didn't look like a normal filter.

Looks like it could be a normal filter (yzzd2) in a large cover perhaps?

If I'm not wrong, it is a normal filter. I bought it from the dealer, sorry didn't notice the model.

I agree that DPF will be a problem after the warranty expires.
