  • Leaking coolant

    Hi brainstrust.

I can see link pink fluid on the connection to the engine. No alerts have been issues on the car. It is not overheating. Fluid is low but not below low level.

I am seeking best course of action.

From reading other posts, seems common. I am 5 hours away from home. Would it be safe to drive home if I topped it up? Drive 5 hours last night without problems.

    Currently in Newcastle.

    options

    1. Top it up, drive home, get it fixed
    2. Get it fixed, drive home.
    3. Other? The sealant fluid. Seems mixed reviews.

    Thanks

option 1 , keep a close eye on the coolant level though , you can wreck an engine in 10seconds of overheating

I'd do option 1, but check every 100-200km or so depending on how long it was before you last checked before you discovered the issue. From experience though if you have a mass coolant leak you'd have about 30s-1m before SHTF, so keep an eye on your temp gauge etc.
