1GD-FTV 2.8L Eng performance post Remap

Thought some might be interested in results of a remap on the 1GD.

I have never been impressed by the amount of squirt from day 1 & tuner commented it wasn't developing the power it should have.




Big difference - 5th & 6th gears now seem useful.

Biggest surprise is 2-3L/100kms better fuel consumption - wasn't expecting that. (thought it marketing )

Very impressive gains.
Any effects to dpf regen cycles? Feedback from other owners after a remap was more occurrence of the regen cycle.

Can't say I noticed post tune. However cycles were getting a bit funky last month, so had 5th injector cleaned a couple of weeks back - orifice was almost carboned over (in 38,600kms).

Not doing a lot of driving atm, but will post an update after a few complete cycles post cleaning.
