This fault code appeared about a month ago in my low mile 2012 150 (after the car had sat for a week garaged in very rainy humid conditions, no idea if that's relevant). It's accompanied by the engine light, 4Lo and traction control lights. OBD scan produced those codes - P0400 EGR flow malfunction and P0406 EGR Sensor circuit "A" Circuit High. They lasted about a week and the day it was scanned, the lights went out and stayed away for about 6 weeks then reappeared today (once again, after the car sat for a few days unused). Lights went out after driving about 30 klm so I've got a clear dash again. But for how long?
My question is, how serious are these codes? I drove several hundred klm without issue in the first occurence without entering limp mode or any obvious symptoms. I have a trip to Cameron corner in 2 weeks. Now the lights have gone out, will it be an issue if they come back on somewhere in Sturt NP? Is the car likely to enter a limp mode at any time? Or can this particular fault be driven on without too much risk (like if it came on at Cameron Corner hundreds of klm from the nearest service centre).
