Main Dealer - Reccomendations

Hi Guys, just had a diagnostic via the main dealer at Mentone Toyota in Melbourne. They have recommended the following items:

• EGR Clean @ 4.5 hrs - $810.00
• Front and Rear Diff Oil $275.00

Has anyone had the EGR done via independent in Victoria/Melbourne at a cheaper rate ?
Also $275 for diff oil seems steep or am I being a tight scotsman !!

Any thoughts/recco's for nondealer service items greatly appreciated.
