Just after feedback on after market airboxes for a 2016 2.8 ltr. Did they fit without any extra modifications, did the sensors fit and did they plumb in to the existing air intake. And would you buy again. I've tried all the suggested fixes to prevent dust past the filter but have had no success. Thanks

All the ones I can find use an oil/foam filter which are a horrible idea.
I’ve though about trying to adapt the air box from a 200 etc.Steve

Oiled filters rely on the oil to capture the dust. The actual foam filter is very coarse. If you dont keep it regularly clean or oiled, there is a good chance you’ll be sucking dirt through.
In a dusty environment they clogg pretty fast and need more regular cleaning.
In a world of perfect maintenance and solely on the bitumen, they are ok, I just don’t like them in dusty environments.
One bloke I know was following a vehicle in front too closely and by the end of the day had blocked the filter, the filter deformed, sucked partially into the air box and the dust had a clear path straight into the engine.
Mostly personal preference but I prefer a paper element.
