How is the diesel tank vented in a 150 diesel?

    Not 100% certain what the configuration is and there are differences between petrol and diesel version pipe usage and hose routing etc.

    My best guess is the hose called vent tube assembly on the rear of the sub tank is a standalone incase all the other common breather points are blocked.

      For those who are interested in relation to my post (13), I made contact with a Toyota technician (we used to call them mechanics in my day), who verified that in diesels only one rubber ring is fitted, with petrol it is two. Also with diesels, the O ring is fitted at "A" and the spacer at "B" as shown. I was told a common issue is for people to leave out the spacer or put it on back-to-front. The new rubber O Ring has been installed, all pipes cleared with compressed air and the tank back on. Now it is a matter to see if all my efforts have corrected the blow-back problem - here's hoping.
