Prado V6 oil leak

Just noticed a small leak on garage floor, closer inspection, looks to be a leak from front of engine, below the water pump. Suspect could be from sump.
Just ticked over 150k km, of fault free motoring/4wd driving. Have been watching dipstick level, no noticeable change. Booked in to mechanic to further investigate.
Have looked about the web,can't find any other examples of what seems to be my problem. Interested to know if anyone else has had similar issues.

Cracked oil filter cap/housing, mechanic is replacing and running engine to check. Easy fix for what looked like a major issue.

Is it a plastic housing? There is a cast alloy version available.

Yes, plastic housing, ideally will replace with a cast-alloy part.
