150 VX - Trouble pairing mobile phone to bluetooth

Hi

I am having trouble pairing my mobile phone to the vehicle (it comes up as failed when it searches and confirm BT is on from the phone when searching). I have a cheapy Telstra tough phone (T90). It originally worked when paired, and suddenly stopped - it continually asks if I want to accept connection to the car, and even if I do it doesn't work. I deleted the two phones in the history, it was recognised yesterday and it worked for one call - turned the car off and when I came back no message for acceptance, no recognition - nothing? Anyone got any advice? Is it the phone? Am I IT challenged?

Hi,
It might be the phone or sometimes a faulty bluetooth component in the audio system can also cause this issue. Use a different phone and try to connect and see what happens. I have used iphone 3gs, iphone 4, a nokia 6120 and also a nexus s phone with bluetooth in the 150 gxl and never had a problem.

Tried a Samsung phone and works fine - paired / connected first time. I will try a couple more phones over time. Likely to be the T90 mobile i reckon. Thanks Melbo.

Hi,
Ive had the exact same problems with the testra phones and I have done a fair bit of research.
I had T6 - ZTE (telstra) phones are bricks but they are the only ones on the market with direct external antena patch. ZTE is working on a new phone that is compatible with the new fujitsu audio system which runs bluetooth v2.0.
there are also issues with the Nokia phones, but I have just bought the Nokia C5 and its working ok at this stage.

Audio streaming from Google Maps on iPhone 4

Hi,
iPhone 4 connects fine to bluetooth and I can use it to make and receive calls.
When I use Google Maps or Apple Maps and want to hear the turn by turn directions, the audio doesn't stream to the car.
Does it work for you?

Set it to bluetooth audio, like you would for listening to music from your ifruit thingy. Should work then.

i'm pretty good with the iPhone settings but how do I set it to bluetooth audio when Google Maps is running?
i just turn on bluetooth and it pairs to the car.

Are you able to play music from your phone through the head unit? If you are then this is the setting that will allow the instructions from google maps to come through the head unit. If you can't have music playing from the phone to the head unit it most likely will not work.
