  • Time for a wash car...whats with all the beeping?

Can anyone explain the beebing that occurs when you give the new Prado a wash? Seems to happen wether I leave the key's inside the car or have them in my pocket, and happens most often when I spray around the doors.

It is just the auto lock and unlock function. Leave your keys inside the house and it won't occur.

    Cheers

I just press the start button once without your foot on the brake so the accessory function is on then the beeping stops. Allows you to have some tunes while you're washing it too.

I had my dealer remove the door chime function today. No more annoying chimes. The downside is that the blinkers no longer flash when locking or unlocking the car but I don't consider that a big deal, the chimes were driving me crazy.

how did they disable it? just cut the wire?

I wonder why they indicators no longer flash when when locking/unlocking? did they give a reason?

did this get rid of the other annoying beeps? seat belt etc?
