Can anyone explain the beebing that occurs when you give the new Prado a wash? Seems to happen wether I leave the key's inside the car or have them in my pocket, and happens most often when I spray around the doors.

It is just the auto lock and unlock function. Leave your keys inside the house and it won't occur.

It's the water on the door handle, the car thinks your trying to lock the keys in

I just press the start button once without your foot on the brake so the accessory function is on then the beeping stops. I had my dealer remove the door chime function today. No more annoying chimes. The downside is that the blinkers no longer flash when locking or unlocking the car but I don't consider that a big deal, the chimes were driving me crazy.2014 Black GXL D4D Auto with a few add ons.Comment
