  • USB stick in new GXL

Forgive me if this has been raised before or I'm in the wrong section, but a search hasn't been able to find anything.
I just popped my old faithful USB memory stick in the new GXL and I on screen I get the error message: "USB ERROR 1". Anyone know what this means? I have used the same stick on 3 different cars with no problems.

The memory stick needs to be formatted FAT32 (NTFS doesn't work) and audio files need to be in a directory, not just copied to the stick. Thes points are covered in the manual.

I use the SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Blade USB Drive from office works, i now have about 7 or 8 of them, no formatting required, just drag and drop your music onto it and it plays straight away... only Mp3 and folders, no other files.

            1. The 4Gb memory stick is FAT32
            2. The files are in directories
            3. I read the manual before posting here
