Headlight/Bonnet protectors

New wheels arrive soon, trivial question time... I'm wondering if anyone has experience with fitting headlight and bonnet protectors - is it worth the $40 I'll save by getting them off ebay and fitting myself or just let the dealer do it?

I did the bonnet protector. Dead easy... As soon as you make sense of the destructions. I did it in prob 1/2 hr or so.

Do it yourself - real easy, use the $40 you save to buy the beer & sausages for you and your mate to install!

I've got them, and just returned from the Cape with a nice star across the left headlight protector. Doesn't need replacing but is the sacrificial lamb for these journeys and saved the actual light.

If you do some 'rough' roads - put spring washers on, the screws that hold the units are short and once they turn they will be gone before you know it.

Money well spent.

Really easy to fit mate. Order through ebay to save some cash. As mentioned before once you make sense of the instructions it's dead easy. Remove the chrome grill trim, bolt the centre keepers on and install the clear tabs.

Yep definately worth doing yourself....as others have said very easy you won't have a problem.

i will ebay it too,
no reason let dealers take that money again, they have already taken our money on cars.
