Is this for a GX or GXL? Does the price include GST?

GXL TD with tow bar and mats... $61k less GST so $55k.
Works out to about $1750 per month before tax on a 25k PA package. I've got about 2k extra in my novated fund but have the 40k service coming up!

Does the km's travelled affect the overall lease price?

It doesn't affect your financed cost, just you running expenses. The financed cost is base on RRP less fleet discount, GST (if applic) and luxury tax (if applic), lease term in years and residual (residual ranges set by govt) to arrive a a monthly 'lease' amount (or finance amount). Then a running cost budget (tyres, fuel etc) is added for your total monthly cost. My financed cost for a TD GXL auto with no options was about 55k ex GST.

I am currently waiting for some confirmed pricing from the lease company for a GXL. I was just wondering if you guys have generally "accepted" the lease company quote for the vehicle and accessories as the cheapest, or have you gone out and tried to find better prices than what they quoted you? I live in the Hunter (NSW) and learnt pretty quickly that the word "lease" is the quickest way to get any local dealers to not want to give me the time of day!

Also have your leasing companies been slugging you for extra's (i.e. extended warranties, gap cover and lease protection) on top of your purchase price or is this just mine, these "extra's" add about 5k onto the financed amount of the vehicle?

I Just ordered a VX D4D, Auto with Tow bar, Floor mats all round, Cargo mat and tinted windows. The delivery is stretched a bit as I'm expecting delivery in January next year. It will be the MY12 which is the "face lift" and the VX will now get the Sat Nav from the Kakadu as Standard. All this for $72,900 Drive Away which also includes $435 for personalised plates.
Not a bad price if you afford to wait!
This was ordered from Ipswich in QLD.

Just a note/warning on Novated Lease and FBT. For new Novated leases, the FBT brackets will change. If you are now in the "over" 25.000 km/year bracket, you will effectively have to pay FBT for the "under" 25k bracket. This is a phased introduction. I know this, as I started off in April on a novated lease. After changing employer (thus breaking the lease), the above became apparent in the new quotes. In my case and I expect the same applies for many others, a Novated lease was no longer that attractive. Also, the Novated lease break cost me $800 in "lost" management fees....
