Went into a few dealerships in Melbourne today, got a few quotes range from $74K to $76K(Altitude D4D Auto).

Same here... If you can't get an Altitude for under $70k drive away, you might as well buy a VX.

VX or Altitude

Hi Guys

New here, but I have been weighing up weather to go VX or Altitude.

I get fleet discount so my price so far is 72k for either.

I tow a 2.2 tonne Van so was wondering if it the KDSS was any good for this or is it an expensive upgrade for more heavy duty suspension on the KDSS.

Apart from KDSS there is not much between them, just HID Lamps, Electric seats, Illuminated entry etc

Ok so without disclosing dealerships, what is the best price people are getting on a Prado Altitude Turbo Diesel with no extras? I have checked a few dealers in Brisbane and both said 70k drive away.

Hi PradoMatt,

I ordered the VX just before the Altitude was announced but I wanted KDSS regardless. If the Altitude came with KDSS they wouldn't be selling too many VX's me thinks. I

Its seems like a small premium for a suspension system but I would rather that than a cooler box, sunroof and dvd player that I will never use.

A buddy of mine owns a 200 series VX and claims the KDSS is the best feature of the car in his opinion. I can't comment until I receive my car...I hope he is right.

We got altitude td auto silver pick
Up on Friday with floor mats and protectors bonnet etc for $68 with genuine toyota tow bar being fitted after delivery for 750.

Very happy - sat in altitude yesterday and can't wait til Friday so excited!!

$69000 no extras drive away, TD Auto silver. Had a quote from another for $68800, Happy to say ours has arrived and one guy from the same dealers was trying to sell it to us for $71000 then i went in to check it out and speaking to another guy he asked me if i had been given a price i told him the guy here told me $71000 he then replied geez sounds like (said his name) is trying to make a bit of a comission,
So I think at the end of the day your better off telling them what You are happy to pay. Drago from CMI toyota in Adelaide is really good they have alot of buying power and do really good deals but whats even better they ask you what your looking at paying and then put it to the manger to see if its a yes or no. Also i can get genuine toyota tow bar for $600 anyone had a better price can ya let me know

As of today there is still not the option to select the SE Altitude from the web site or when calling the Team leader there is also unable to assist with getting a policy due to the SE not yet being in their database.
Just curious as to if you had secured insurance as I am sure those getting their Altitudes this week will be strugging to get a cover.

I spoke to an AMY at aami number is 1800887333 and she gave me quote this afternoon on altitude prado...... am waiting to receive quote in mail to confirm at extras however as i told her about them she said yes...... maybe try her...

Just make sure they are not quoting you the 200 series Altitude as they thought it was it until we asked if it had 200 in the discription. Let us know how you went with the quote please.

I have my insurance and it is valid from today for my Altitude.

Paying a little more insurance pays dividends as I certainly wouldn't want to be with a insurer who gets quotes via sending out pictures for repair and choosing the cheapest quote. You have just paid 70 odd thousand for a car.
