Bought my Altitude last week (my fourth Prado). Really happy so far, have had a 90 GXL, two 150 GXL's and now this one which is the best appointed I have had yet. Interesting thing, the cargo blind when extended, fouls on the rear door lock, stopping it from locking or unlocking. Took a while to figure that out and many calls to the dealer. Another fact, my 90 bought new was 37,000, the first 10 GXL, 52,000, the second was 57 and now this a under 70,000.... shudder to think what a 2016 model will be...

PS, southside Toyota, Bought all prado's through them and have had no complaints. Spent an hour with me delivering the car, called a couple of days later to check all was Ok, and organised the first service for me. Also did a price i was happy with, based on the lowest i could find on carsales without any dicking around and suggested that i hold off on accessories until the first service to save on LCT.

We picked up our new Altitude from Maryborough Toyota on Wednesday and are loving it so far. Best dealership and sales man we have ever dealt with by far. And we even got the Sat nav manual.Comment

Ordered a pearl white D4D Altitude today and picking it up on Friday. It will be my first Yota, first real 4WD and first diesel. Trading an Audi A5 coupe. Very different car but looking forward to the Prado.2012 Crystal Pearl D4D AltitudeComment

Further to my last, given that car manufacturer's often release a 'special edition' prior to releasing an updated model, is the Prado due for an update soon? Hence the release of the Altitude?Croozer

I read in the last few days (I'm trying to find the link to the article) that Toyota's 'Entune' is confirmed for the Australian market. Though Toyota hasn't yet announced which cars it will be installed in, it stated that it will be in a few vehicles across the range, not just the Prius models. Perhaps that's got something to do with the release of the Altitude to use up the remaining GPS systems from the parts bin? Or perhaps not. Maybe just wild speculation.Croozer
