The GXL is looking better all the time, $2500.00 for a SATNAV that unless they have dramatically improved it, is way too expensive considering it can be replaced by a better one with off road and user map changes for $1000.00.

HI,

I have had a VX on order for more than 10 weeks, my dealer just called to say that my vehicle is a November build with all the Toyota spec changes. I though GREAT.... but was then told that the spec changes will cost an additional $2.5 K.

I was told that the price increase in a Toyota thing an not the dealer.... Has anyone else come across this or is my dealer just trying it on?

Tell them to jog on. I assume you signed on a specific price 10 weeks ago for them to order it? So that should be the price you pay.

Exactly the same thing happened to me with the same model car.
My VX has been on order for about 7 weeks and they also hit me up for a price increase. $3200 in my case.
I agreed on $2,000 or i'd cancel my order, they came to the party.

Its the same with everyone I'm sure.

Basically, If your getting the upgrade, your getting a price increase!!!

I asked what would happen if I didn't pay the increase... They replied with "We wont sell you the car".

Like I said earlier they have just optioned the sat nav for you at $2500 unfortunately you didn't get a say in it.

My dealer hasn't contacted me yet but sounds like it wont be far away as I am expecting a price rise with teh Kakadu as it now has the radar cruise pack in addition to the offroad pack but I knew that when I ordered it and it had to be a 2012 build and complianced vehicle.

Apart from the Hilux's in thailand that are six feet underwater, the big fella upstairs is definitely is definitely a Pajero owner.

The car should be here in the next couple of days so when i get it i can let you know. Then i just need to sell the 120 to pay for all the new toys for the 150.

We are expecting delivery at the end of December (maybe Jan 2012) and chased up this whisper of an update to the GXL, dealer came back with confirmation of privacy glass only being included but could not find anything relating to a stereo update. It would seem some dealers are telling customers the stereo story and some are telling the privacy glass story so when you get yours give us an on the spot report please Dave.

Oh and enjoy taking receipt of your new toy.
