If its anything like the build specs on our side of the ditch, its easier to see what you lose than line up the similarities. Unless I am mistaken, adding CRAWL (Kakadu) means losing radar cruise (cool for about 5 minutes). Kakadu has the electronic rear diff but you may not care if you plan for air diff locks. Also the cool air suspension is nice but mostly the parts are on the garage floor if like most people you plan a lift kit.

So here's a screenshot from the Toyota Japan car viewer of a VX spec'd Prado that I am planning to upgrade too. It's got extras that I intend to add on such as the Urban SUV package, larger sidesteps similar to the 120 Prados, chrome side decals/door protectors, chrome mirrors, and window rain deflectors.

        That looks good Owen,

I didn't know about any "Urban SUV" Package?!?! What is the price for this package and does it include all of those things that you listed?

The dealer didn't mention this to me.

        Cheers,

        Jeff

The Aus specced vehicles don't have this as an option. Each market gets slightly different options / features. NZ has different to Aus as well.

Some of the parts, I will be buying through www.japanparts.com =) Imported directly from Japan and fitting them myself.

window rain deflectors, floor mats, towbar, i'll be getting through the dealer. The rest, most likely japanparts.

The credit card style smart key on japanparts looks great, but how do you get it programmed?

Programming, if it requires either a computer hooked up to the car's management system and a USB cable or a toyota scanner, then you may very well be in business. Big risk buying that though as the Prado's sold outside of Japan are probably different to JDM version Prados.

hi, not to sound negetive but ive seen the prices on japanparts.com and they are an absolute joke! believe it or not japan is the last place you want to buy anything aftermarket from. Try ebay or trademe.co.nz. I found a really good set of 4 weathershields in black from ebay, The chrome side mirrors can be found on ebay and the body side moulding from alibaba.com. i have carbon fiber pillars on mine which i done my self but on my last prado grande 120 had chrome pillars which were from ebay usa. look around and honestly stay away from japan sites or sellers.

                      Hi,

Interesting that you mentioned that Japanparts is expensive :O I always buy parts for my STI from Japanparts and actually found them to be one of the cheapest, if not, the cheapest out of all the other places that sell the same part that I am after haha. Maybe different car manufacturer has something to do with it. Thanks for the heads up though. I will definitely hunt around first to make sure that I don't get "ripped a new one" so to speak
