Picked up my shiny new white SX last night after ordering in early January.
I can't understand the reviewers who said the short wheel base pitches and rolls. They must be like the princess and the pea under a pile of mattresses! The thing hardly moves.
Anyway off to Opposite Lock on Monday.

Amazed I changed from GXL to Altitude. Delivery went from 3 months to just over week. I pick up my car this week,

Just ordered a GX the other day...But because I want Sandstone, they have to do a special order (most GX that come off the line are white). So instead of getting it in October/November I opted for a Jan 2013 build...should get it at beginning of March yeew!

Supposedly off the boat today after 3months and 10 days...but they reckon I will be waiting 3 weeks for it to get to the dealer??? What are they bloody doing with it in those three weeks??Polishing the dipstick??

chivers, stay on the dealer. I kept the pressure on when I knew mine had landed a got a four day turn around in the end. Not sure if they had to pull some strings or not but I had been waiting 23 weeks in the end, so the dealer was doing everything to keep me on side.

Cheers Si & Rae, I sent him an email last week to tell him I'd buy him a beer or 10 because if I can pick it up while I am holidays down in Perth I will save myself 2 extra airfares and a hire car for 8 days approx $1200. He is still being very diplomatic saying he will do what he can but can't promise anything. All they have to do once its at the dealer is fit a towbal some matts and headlight/bonnet protector.... Oh and polish the dipstick! I had a mate wait 5 months for an FJ with the same dealer, they told him the car would be off the boat on a certain date and on that day they rang him and said your car is ready come and get it! Hopefully all goes well...
