  • Squeak coming from rear door latch area

Has anyone else found a squeak coming from this area?
I sat in the cargo area while my wife was doing laps around a the streets and it seems to be coming from behind the rear left tail light area / or door latch area. I checked the jack wasnt loose but ist nice and secure.
    any thoughts?

Have 120 series Prado with an anoying squeek coming from same area, removed rear wheel and noise went, after doing the same and more (in the back seat, no jack, removed rubbers, tools everything). Needless to say I replaced the wheel but ever since I got some AMTS spacers its been dead quiet now, was either the type of bolt or the foam between spacer and car body that eliminated noise! May be the same with 150's but do a search on the forums, its been an ongoing annoyance on the 150s more so apparently and I have seen plenty of threads on this site!

Theres a slide latch that makes sure the door lines up when closing, clean it out and see if that makes any difference.

yep! that must have been it. thank you.
before seeing your email i lubed up the latch and all contact points (rubber stops etc) so now I'm not sure which one was causing the problem but my guess would be the latch also.

          thanks for your input
