Hi there everyone, I am sure this is covered somewhere, but I got to ask, what tyres do you guys recommend I put on my prado altitude. About 80% is road driving and 20% is recreational. Any good suggestion is most welcomed. Thanks.

I have just put on Mickey Thompson ATZ 4 rib in 265 x 70 x 17.
Very happy with them so far.
Interestingly they have a wider tread on the road than the 275 x 70 x 17 STZ's.
I can also confirm that they fit in spare wheel cover without spacers etc.Cheers

Up untill a couple of weeks ago I had my heart set on the STZ's. The ATZ 4 Ribs will now be my preferred weapon of choice for my 120 when I can afford em... Having seen they way they perform on a number PP Members Prados, I am now convinced these are the best option for me.2004 V6 Grande. BLACK -

The same tyres as recommended for a GXL should do the job.
This has been discussed in a lot of places like here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...-BFG-GoodridgeLast edited by krypto; 12-03-2012, 01:07 AM.Steve

I've got to say I am really happy with my Cooper AT3's, they have been going great, although I have picked up a second set of rims and am going to put some Federal Couragia MT's on them.Black 2009 150 Series D4D GXL Prado, TG150 Transfer Case & Actuator Guard, TJM T13 bar, TJM 9.5lb Winch, Airtec Snorkel, TJM steel sidesteps and sidebars, TJM Underbody Protection, TJM XGS Gold Suspension, Tinted, ARB Fridge Freezer, Couplertec System, Foxwing Awning, 80AH Dual battery, 8" indash GPS, Wet Seat seatcovers, GME TX3540, TX3110 & TX680, Maxtrax, Kaymar Dual Wheel Carrier, Breathers, Federal MT's.

I've got the Pirelli's on my 150. I've done about 38000 k's on them and they are about half worn. Had them climbing the rocky tracks in SA as well as the beaches and I'm very happy with them - quiet as! Only thing is they didn't stop me running into the back of a hiace a couple of weeks ago during the one rainy day in Adelaide in months but it was all down to pilot error in the end
A fair bit of cosmetic damage but the crash repairer told me the 'Cruisers are built like tanks. Can't say the same for the Yaris that hit me after I hit the Hiace though. Hmmm, a bit of thread drift there. Another vote for the scorpions.

The new coopers' AT3 or we have had good run for our standard fleet fitment Goodyear AT/SA nice on the road and the kevlar seems to bring them comparable to a much heavier Muddy in the ruff stuff.
