We have just paid a deposit on a new Altitude diesel auto.

Q.1. Can I buy an electronic workshop manual for the 150 and if so where?

Q.2. Any PP threads about installing HR tow bar and lights plug as well as 2nd battery and Redarc isolator appreciated.

I bought mine on eBay. It is the full service manual.

I think the guy must have been raided by PP members, there is no Prado service manuals listed just an LC200 one. I have sent him an email asking if he will get any more.

He does have the EPC for about $33 which has the Prado 150 listed, but only for Japan, Europe and USA. Which would be the closest match to the Australian car's?

Yeah i guess he might have had a run on them. I did say get in quick. I believe the closest to our Prado would be the Japan version as it is RHD, the USA and Europe i believe are LHD so it might not be exactly the same.

He still has them available, just not listed at the moment.

Is this manual the same as the toyota genuine one or is it an aftermarket one?

Edit: The service manual for the Prado 150 will be re-listed by this seller from the 1st of April.

I purchased one from him directly and downloaded via a link (cd is in the mail).

Just had a read through and it all looks pretty good and probably well worth the purchase price!

I don't know where the seller has obtained these from, it seems a lot like something Toyota would use but without seeing one of there's I am not entirely sure if it's the same (or even legit!)...

How much memory in the download?

291mb, its on rapidshare so only downloads at 30kbps and takes a while.

Looking at these they are a ripoff of the genuine Toyota Manual/CD.
Which more than likely means that the supplier is breaching the copyright ruling.

And as Toyota watch this forum and have tried us legally before for copyright breach, this is all at your own risk. Nothing to do with PP.
