I'll do all the hosing, sprinkler and washing when I get back and then take a run down the Condamine river road and get through the 14 water crossings, hopefully they will be deep enough to flush out whatever may be left. Any excuse to get a bit of track work done!

      car wash and saltx

Be very careful which "truck wash" you use. You can use some products that actually cause corosion. I use chemtech CT18, its a neutral car wash producr, made in Australia, and I met the chemist who makes it at a 4wd show and he seemed like a reasonable person who knew his product.

A couple of years ago we use a "truck wash" product and caused severe corrosion on the vehicles in the fleet....they were not semi trailrs and dog trailers for which this stuff was designed.

Also, when you get back fro a trip to the beach, wash, wash and wash it with fresh water, then do a final underbody and engine wash with a mixture of "SALTX"...it supposedly dissolves and neutralises salt. I use it on the boat engine and trailer and it seems to work.
