    Getting quite a few questions lately about why I choose Petrol over Diesel and to be honest I could make a good argument for either.

    All I can say is to all the people out there craving for power and are considering a diesel take a good look at the Petrol before you sign on the dotted line and give both a good drive.

    The 11.5 litres for 100 km aint that bad either (but to me honestly 12.8 seems about the mark for me).

    Loving the choice of Petrol at the moment but I am sure my smile will be reduced every time I fill up?:cry::cry:

    I'm confused... did you buy a diesel or a petrol??

            Its the new petrol Diesel it runs mostly on gas.

                It might as well be I changed from Petrol to Diesel 4 times before ordering and actually changed GXL to an Altitude. Some times I think I may be a little indecisive but now I am not to sure?

                  I've had 3 petrol 120's and 1 diesel now onto a diesel 150. This thing averages 8.5l/100 while the petrols were stuck around 13l/100. I average 30,000 a year. So fuel is around $1,800 per annum cheaper. But this is not the main reason I got diesel. It's the MUCH better resale combined with the vastly cheaper service costs (I don't always use Tojo). I use this machine for business so it has to have some financial scrutiny. If I want speed I drive the wife's Lancer.

                    I'm still yet to see a Diesel sell for anymore secondhand than a Petrol (Barr maybe the $1000 extra the diesel cost in the first place). I do think The Petrol Vs Deisel thing has its place at 30,000Ks a year I would be more tempted to go the diesel as you will see the savings but for me 3-4 years keeping the car about 80,000ks over that time I would rather the V6 I like the V6 punch.
                    Saying that if Prado's get a big banger 3.0 V6 Turbo diesel I'm there. I will also look at the 200 Series for my next car the V8 Diesel seems the pick of the bunch OR for the extra 10k would have to weigh up a Supercharged Petrol V8 200 Series at the same cost...
