See ya on the tracks, Richo.

The aluminium drawers in my car are going on 20 months old have done 2 GTG's and plenty of shorter trips and are still like new. As in, no change in appearance or performance and still about 30% lighter than steel drawers.
Check out the ORS website since they 1st made the aluminium drawers in 2007, they havn't had 1 complaint and I don't have one either.

    My drawers are ok

    Cheers

Do you have the old or the new black widow handles.
The older ones were smaller and hard to get a hold of, the new version handles are much better and obviously designed to fix that issue.

My drawers are about 6-7 years old now, so the old handles. They are ok when lubricated but they need lube often, and it means dismantling the drawer fronts and a bit of mucking around. On an extended trip, like our 8 week cape york trip I needed to dismantle and lube mid trip.

As I said before and others have said, Aluminium drawers offer enough of a weight advantage to make them a better bet.

      Cheers Andrew

Made my own and used the slides from a server at work. Not as good looking but are a perfect size for what I want.

Luke and the DRIFTA team were great when I was setting up the 150. No one had done a RHS drop fridge slid, but with their help I was able to measure and compare at a show in Penrith. Beechy went through it all and we made it work to suit our way of camping. Table on LHS over shallow draw and deep draw on RHS under the 50 litre fridge. It fits and works great, cheaper than the competition and lighter than most.
I believe there is more room as have had a set of steel ones in the past that lost a lot of room in the sliding mechanism.
Julie kept us up to date through the order and payment process even though I had no need of knowing the finer details. Seems they are passionate about draws.
Delivered on pallet and installed in an evening. The hardest thing was ditching the third row of leather seats and all the trimmings from the car. Cheers

Rear Draws !! Got the ORS DIY Draws great product.

Got the ORS DIY draws sent buy post easy to fit, the lads answered a few questions I had by phone during install and I added a drop slids for my 40lt Ingel, lots of room in the draws got the double draw runners as quoted from watching 4x4 action DVD, will be able to replace the 3rd row seats without and marks in the Prado !. I put 4 Max Tracks behind the 2nd row seats as the room for their water tank space is enough for this purpose. Nice and light, very happy no rattles, so far so good after 20k klms of bumps and use.

              Outback Drawers

I put in the outback drawers with drop down fridge slide, cargo barriers and made my own divider and upper shelf. The rear of the car packs a 3kw generator, webber Baby Q and all my bits and pieces for our trip around Australia. Very happy with the outback drawers, not a squeak, rattle or problem. We have driven from Brisbane to Esperence so far without an issue.
