G'day all,
So I have my 6month / 10,000k service for my 150 d4d in a bit over a week(only done about 3000), there are a couple of things I have noticed that I want to bring up like the windows catching when they return to their normal position after being folded in, there is an engine noise which is intermittent and is becoming more noticeable that has crept in recently (I am pretty sure that it is different to the 1500rpm one everyone has talked about, it doesn't sound like a vibration/resonance noise) along with a high pitch noise I heard the last time I drove it while standing outside the car while it was running that I could not hear when I got in.
Are there any other things/known issues I should be raising? I have read the thread about the tail shaft clunk, I have not experienced anything like what others have described but given it is a known issue should I be asking to get it replaced as a preventative measure? I am not very mechanically minded so any tips on what to watch out for etc would be appreciated.
Cheers,
PS I did try to search ‘first service’ but didn’t have much luck, if I have missed an existing thread I apologise.
